Our Mission
North Star Christian School exists to educate students in academic excellence and to be safe, serving, Jesus-centered members of our community and the world.
Safe: we aim to provide an educational environment that allows students to learn without fear of judgment or condemnation, where questions are valued and affirmed, and diversity is celebrated. We have zero tolerance for abuse - spiritual, emotional, physical - of any kind.
Serving: we promote excellent academics that equip children “to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God” (Micah 6:8), serving their communities and world.
Jesus-centered: the story of Scripture, with Jesus at the center, is the foundation of all we do. We seek to ground students in the reality of their belovedness, placing every subject within the framework of God’s love.
Our Vision
Our vision is to grow our school while maintaining that “small school” feel. We plan to expand our programming, improving and adding to our facilities and grounds, and eventually adding a top-notch high school program. The goal, as always, is to prepare and equip young people to better participate in the mission of Christ, as safe, serving, and Jesus-centered members of our community and world.
